Samsung Galaxy S5 takes part in the ALS Ice Bucket challenge

Philanthropy has been a part of the celebrity circle.
Now the smartphones too have taken up the cause to spread awareness about the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) disease. On their part they have put a challenge, the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. The nominated person needs to drench himself in ice cold water and then nominate three others to take up this challenge. Those who don't accept the challenge will have to donate $100 to the ALS Association. This challenge was flagged off on July 29th and till date a sum of $53 million have been donated.

Smartphones too did not lag behind in this challenge. Samsung Galaxy S5 nominated Iphone 5S, HTC One (M8) and Nokia Lumia 930 to take part in this challenge. These phones are not water friendly. By taking part in this challenge Samsung raised funds for the organisation and also advertised the fact that it is a water proof phone.
